Since 2009 it has become compulsory to also complete your EFR (First Aid) Instructor rating. On completion of my EFR Instructor course you will also get the Provide First Aid rating that is required to work in Australia as a Dive Instructor. Many of my students found that they did not plan to become an active EFR Instructor but as it turned out many candidates have enjoyed great success with this rating.
The reason why the EFRI course is priced separately is because some Dive Masters and AI’s have already become EFRI’s and they will not have to repeat this rating during the IDC.
